When our daughter - Macy Jae - was born 3 months early at an astonishing 1 pound, 10 ounces, we didn't know what to expect for the future. After a 100-day hospital stay and 2 years at home, we were mostly past the health issues but we needed help. At age 2 ½ she was way behind - she didn't eat, she didn't speak, she was unsteady and she didn't know how to interact with other kids. After a few months with the therapists and teachers at DCO, she started eating, talking, running and playing with the other kids. She has undergone a radical change developmentally and emotionally thanks to the DCO staff - from the secretaries to the teachers to the therapists. Everyone has played a part in making her feel comfortable and secure. Now she acts like she owns the place!"
