The events of September 11 have provided us an extraordinary opportunity to reflect on our country, our families, our friends, and those things that are most precious to us all. As a result, it seems people are more grateful for the things that make their lives whole and special.
Our attention was diverted from local issues as we rallied to assist with the tragedies in New York and Washington. As we adjust to life after September 11, we find ourselves concerned for our neighbors in the Ozarks that also need our help. Our response to the tragedy of September 11 was remarkable, and I am certain appreciated more than words can express.
Our local response to the needs of our neighbors has always been remarkable and appreciated as well. It is in this spirit of thankfulness, that we ask you to please keep the needs of our DCO families in mind as we approach the holiday season. Your contributions make all the difference in the world.
